COMMUNITY IMPACT

 PERPETUATING CULTURE // SHARING ALOHA

DAWSON is dedicated to giving back

Through the community impact work of our parent company, the Hawaiian Native Corporation (HNC), we carry forward a commitment to principally benefit Native Hawaiians. We share aloha by giving back to our Native Hawaiian community in various ways and supporting numerous organizations via financial contributions, in-kind donations, and volunteer hours. Additionally, DAWSON’s business operations serve as economic engines that create employment and advancement opportunities for Native Hawaiians. Beyond Hawaii, we share the spirit of aloha wherever we go and give back to local communities where we live and work.

Beadie Kanahele Dawson

DAWSON National Day of Service

Each year DAWSON organizes a company-wide National Day of Service to honor the birthday of Auntie Beadie Kanahele Dawson. Auntie Beadie is a Director of DAWSON’s parent organization, the Hawaiian Native Corporation, and is the inspiration for DAWSON Impact, our employee volunteer program.

A renowned community leader, attorney, and practitioner of hoʻoponopono (a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation), Auntie Beadie has served the Native Hawaiian community and the people of Hawaiʻi throughout her nine decades of life. Inspired by her ongoing dedication to community service, hundreds of team members and volunteers come together on DAWSON’s National Day of Service to give back to more than a dozen communities throughout the U.S.
