During their annual holiday party, DAWSON Hawaii employees were treated to a special viewing of Mai Kinohi
Mai: From the Beginning, the Bishop Museum surfing exhibit that DAWSON sponsored. The sponsorship is part
of the Hawaiian Native Corporation’s givebacks that benefit the Native Hawaiian community. On view until May,
the exhibit perpetuates Hawaiian culture by sharing the story of surfing as a Native Hawaiian sport, as culture, as
art, as science, and as a way of life. Pro big wave surfer, Billy Kemper, who had just won the WSL Jaws Big Wave
Challenge (in 30-50 foot waves!), also made a special guest appearance at the holiday party and shared his inspiring story with the DAWSON Hawaii ‘ohana.
